Two of our trusty steeds died in the same week, necessitating an immediate car purchase! Goodbye Green Van--we have lots of good memories with you! You were our first van.

Green van quit working at 70 thousand miles. We tried to resurrect her, but she never could pass inspection, despite trying 3 different times!
Good bye Red Car. You were James' trusted commuting companion. Your 3rd transmission just went out! We had a little car funeral and talked about our favorite memories in both cars!
So what did we find when we traded in our two broken down cars? This little gold number. She's 5 years old, has 30 thousand miles on her, and was owned by a 70 year old couple who rarely drove her. The price was right, so we bit!

Thus far in our marriage we have ONLY owned Fords, primarily because James' dad was a Ford dealer and it was a loyalty issue. Gold Car is our first Non-Ford purchase. It's a Chevrolet. I'm hoping that in 5-6 months or so when we look for a 3rd car (Jansen will be driving) that we can further expand our car horizons with a Toyota or a Honda.

I still think of your guys when I see a Ford. I'm so sentimental :)
