Breaking News: McQuivey Family Drama

By Mei Zhen Sha, Associated Press Writer – Sat Oct 18, 2:26 pm

BOSTON - A report published earlier this week suggests that the famed McQuivey family has recently faced several health related issues, which may be related to their temporary disappearance from the public eye.

The excitement began when a local newspaper discovered that several of the youngest McQuivey children had been reported absent from their classes at school for several days. Reporters spoke to a teacher at the elementary school, where the children generally attend five days a week. The teacher, who has asked to remain anonymous, said that a case of hand-foot-mouth disease has traveled among many of those within the institution. It has not been verified that this is the cause of the reported absence, all though it was confirmed that several of their closest family friends have also had the sickness.

The New York Times caught onto the news, and upon investigation of that same story discovered a separate piece of health related information. Janessa McQuivey, the only daughter and best-looking member of the family, was seen wearing a stylish thin, white board on her hand. The device was taped on, and seemed to keep the second and third fingers of her right hand straight and together. Sources close to the family have revealed that Janessa reportedly slammed her finger in the door of their van, and that the device is a splint to assist healing of the injury. The photo in the above left was taken during Janessa's efforts to block away the paparazzi that followed her from her home this past Monday. Since the first publication of this picture, citizens nearby have been viewed wearing similar boards on their right hands. Seventeen magazine has attempted to hear Janessa's position on the latest fashion trend. Regarding their article, she was quoted to have said simply, "No comment".
