St. George, my week away!

At the end of March I went on a trip all by myself to St. George, Utah.
Why?
Mostly, to snuggle this--2 month month old Julian.
And to read books to this, 2 year old Petrea or Misso-Treo.
And hang out with this--Colin, 4
And do stuff with this--Jonah, 8
And catch up with this--Roxcy, 11
And most of all to hang out with their mom--my sister, Erin.
Little did I know that this person would drive south to see me!
B.J. my little brother
He also came to do this...
And see this...
(Erin's husband, Josh and B.J.)
And I was so surprised when this person drove south ON HIS BIRTHDAY to see me!
Dylan, age 36
And so pleased that these people would drive south to see me!
My dad, Brian, and my mom, Petrea.
What did we do all together?
Hiked in Zion.
Went to the St. George temple; (I actually did this one by myself)
Went to an awesome Zumba class at an abandoned paper mill with Erin.
Got a pedicure at my Aunt Lori's salon by my cousin, and salon manager, Kara.
Erin, Julian, Uncle Mike, Aunt Lori, Megan, Petrea, Kara.
Watched Roxcy ride around on her new scooter that she saved for a YEAR to buy!

Made these candy bar posters for Uncle Dylan's birthday with Roxcy and Jonah!
And oh, how I got a good baby fix with this yummy little baby!
I couldn't get over the fact that every time you walked out the door, this is what you saw!

But as with most trips involving my family--the food was some of the highlights!
French Onion Soup in an onion & stuffed peppers at the Painted Pony.
We also hit a fabulous Thai restaurant that was so good we forgot to take pictures.

We made these kabobs. Went to Grimaldi's Pizza in Las Vegas. It took us straight back to our Brooklyn experience at Grummaldis.
It was a fabulous trip! Thanks for sending me, James! And not just because I escaped our flooded basement and missed helping when most of the kids came down with the stomach flu! I was glad you were still there when I got home!

So hilarious you missed some awful stuff! (at least, to me. Probably not for your poor family.)

What a fun trip! What is Zumba?

Suzy,
Yes it was Benja. Awesome place.

Kimberly, Zumba is a workout class that uses Latin and International music and dance moves to create a really high energy workout. There was a lot of hip moving and shaking. They do have Zumba classes here at the Y; I just hadn't tried it before.
