When Soren asked if he could play soccer this fall, I had to say Yes. He has been so shy, he hasn't ever wanted to take any lessons or join any teams, so I wanted to indulge this request. Even if it meant giving up our Saturday afternoons every week.
Soren LOVED soccer and made at least 1 or 2 goals every game.
He also got a trophy (as did all the other kids). Their team voted on the name, Blue Rivers.
This is Soren's new best friend, Sam. Sam is a "wicked awesome" (to use a Boston term) soccer player and made 90% of the goals every game. Because of Sam, the "Blue Rivers" never lost a game and the score usually ended up being something like 28 to 2. Soren and Sam have had a few playdates since then!Yeah for Soren! Yeah for soccer!
