Our old boiler. This beast was over 60 years old. It was a veritable dragon in the basement. Often when it turned on, it forced the door open, exposing its fire-breathing belly and filling our house with carbon monoxide. And it never could keep up with heating our old, drafty house. It went through a ton of oil.
Our new state of the art boiler. This one hums like a baby, once it had an extra tuneup. Before the tune up it sounded like a sonic boom every time it went on. It was a bit scary.
Now we'll spend much less on our oil bill, even though we're heating twice the house we used to heat. Yeah!

It's so good for us to see what you are dealing with! what an adventure, but the nearly finished parts are so lovely! You will love that big new living room!
