That's right, here in Massachusetts we don't have Christmas concerts but Winter concerts. Luckily our music people are great -- they do Christmas music, Jewish music, even an African rhythm now and again. And no one pretends the African music is Kwanzaa music, either, which is a healthy dose of realism.
Logan was the trumpet soloist again this year. He's a phenomenal trumpet player. In this clip you'll get to hear his two solos from two different numbers stitched together. You can't really see him, he's back in the back, in the middle. You can see him stand up for the applause at the end.
J.B. had a wonderful experience in his first year on the viola. The first year string players don't bow, they only pluck, but J.B. has been so excited that he sneaks the bow every once in a while at home. He's on the back row, third from left in the shirt and tie.
