Paint, Glorious Paint

We really stretched the color wheel on the variety of colors we used in our new space.  See if you can match the paint we used to the room:
Mountain Hideaway
Whipple Blue
Nantucket Fog
Shy Cherry
Blue Wave
Restrained Gold
Hazelnut Cream
Early sunrise
Peony
Calypso Orange
Yellow Lotus
Limesickle/Minced Onion blend
Old Prairie
Practical Beige
Pear Green

Soren and Lachlan's room (1 color)
New Bathroom (1 color)
Janessa's closet (1 color)
Janessa's room (3 colors)

Dining Room (1 color)

Living room (1 color)
Jansen's room (2 colors)
Master Bedroom (1 color)
Master Bathroom (1 color)

Downstairs Hallway (1 color)--the color around the Christ picture.
Sunroom/ Homework Room (1 color)

Upstairs hallway (2 colors) the color around the Parables picture is our 5th choice, and the color around the doorway is our 6th and final choice.  They ended being so similar that we haven't finished repainting this small section with paint color #6.

Does name matter?  Evidently so!  I came across two paint colors that were so alluring by name, I just had to use them somewhere in the house, regardless of what they looked like.  These were interior designer custom mixes for the Benjamin Moore line:
"Not Enough Chocolate Syrup, Mom." (which is what we painted the downstairs hallway in)
and "Hot chocolate and warm blanket on a cold winter day."
I mean, who really wants to say, "We painted our living room Practical Beige?  Doesn't that sound like the most boring color in the universe?  Despite the name, it looks great.  And honestly, the chocolate syrup color is just a little lacking.  But oh, what a cool name!

Answers to the quiz:
Mountain Hideaway:  Master Bathroom
Whipple Blue:  New upstairs bedroom
Nantucket Fog:  Jansen's Room
Shy Cherry:  One wall in Jansen's room
Blue Wave:  Soren and Lachlan's room (look for pirate wall murals to come!)
Restrained Gold:  Master Bedroom
Hazelnut Cream:  downstairs hallway (matched to Not enough Chocolate Syrup Mom!)
Early sunrise:  Janessa's room
Peony:  Janessa's Room
Calypso Orange:  Janessa's closet
Yellow Lotus:  dining Room
Limesickle/Minced Onion blend:  The 5th color we chose for the upstairs hallway, but it still wasn't quite right.
Old Prairie:  The 6th and final color we chose for the upstairs hallway!  We have a winner!
Practical Beige:  The living Room
Pear Green:  the Sunroom/Homework Room

I love Janessa's room. I think I will use the same color combo and the polka dots idea, if you don't mind! And I love how the closet is orange....can I steal that idea too?

Every one is is beautiful--I wonder who makes up those paint names? Your house looks so bright and sunny--I love the yellows! Isn't it amazing how many colors there are for neutrals--I must have tried dozens to come up with the right "white " for our house--which is sort of peachy, not white at all.
