I was talking to Lachlan the other day and wondered why he didn't answer. When I looked over at him, he had fallen asleep on the floor with his hand in the bag of cheese puffs.
For the record, Janessa's friends bought the LITE cheese puffs. If I were to buy cheese puffs myself, they'd be true junkfood!
Lachlan's episode of sleeping on the floor, reminded me of another famous sleeper, Logan, asleep in exactly the same part of the floor, many years ago. We had the missionaries over for dinner. Logan was dressed up as Zoro, and running around like a wild wahooly. All of a sudden he keeled over and was fast asleep.
By the way, this is kind of an accidental before and after picture of our old floors (see above) and our new floors (see Lachlan in the first picture). Same spot for sleeping, two different floors. Which one do you like better?

Logan is legendary in our family for his tales of sleeping abruptly in strange places. This dinner table sleeping happened frequently.
I only wish we had pictures of his most dramatic sleep story: He and I were riding the ski lift together, and when we were preparing to get off, I noticed he didn't put his ski tips up. I looked over and he was sound asleep. I tried shaking him, but all to no avail. So, I put my arms under his arms, went off the lift with him, and SKIED ALL THE WAY DOWN THE HILL with him STILL ASLEEP. He didn't wake up until we'd reached the bottom. Can you believe it?
Speaking of dramatic, this was a horrible thing to wake up from a nap and find. I was the one waking up. And I assumed that all of the red was blood.

To make the whole situation even more fairy tale-like, Logan had dropped an apple he'd been eating on the floor. It also appeared to have blood all over it. Snow White anyone?
All I had to do was walk through the house to see that Logan had painted 4 different rooms in red paint. Oh, he was a mischievous little child. It's no wonder he was so tired after all of that mischief.

These are such great pictures! I can't believe the paint. I would have lost it if I saw that!
How adorable. I love the picture of Logan sleeping with spaghetti in his mouth. He's SO cute!
Awesome - great stories and pictures.
What a hoot!
oh these are hilarious! What good stories. My kids have never fallen asleep anyplace but bed or maybe if I am lucky a car seat. That ski story is awesome! Lite cheeze puffs. I snorted outloud!
That is hilarious!
